Jobs

WalkBoston, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) advocacy organization, makes walking safer and easier in Massachusetts to encourage better health, a cleaner environment and vibrant communities. We work with rural, suburban and urban communities to enhance economic development, improve walking routes to schools and create better access to parks and trails.  We collaborate with municipal and state officials and grassroots groups, educate the public about how to advocate for walking, and showcase effective solutions for local, state and national audiences.

We are always looking for motivated graduate students that are work-study eligible for various projects.

Intern Positions
WalkBoston is looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented person to help us manage content as we transfer information and resources from our former website to our new website. Experience with WordPress is preferred, but not required; no html or coding skills required.  The position also includes opportunities to research specific traffic calming and pedestrian safety issues, to learn how to conduct walk audits and walkability workshops, and see how a small nonprofit organization works to advocate to make Massachusetts more walkable for all. Stipend is available.

To apply for the position please submit your resume and a cover letter to info@walkboston.org
