GoBoston 2030 Visioning Lab

The Go Boston 2030 Visioning Lab (at the China Trade Center, 2 Boylston Street, Boston, MA) will build on our recent Question Campaign to develop a big vision for the future of mobility. The event is free and open to the public. All ages are welcome. The event is wheelchair accessible. For interpretation requests, please contact Alice Brown at 617.635.1916. Stop by the Visioning Lab and stay for 5 minutes or 5 hours!

Schedule of events:
Friday, May 8

  • 11:30 AM – Doors open

  • 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM – City Hall To Go truck is parked outside the Visioning Lab

  • 12:00 PM – Visioning Lab Kickoff with Mayor Walsh and Transportation Commissioner, Gina Fiandaca

  • 5:30 to 7:30 PM – “What would it mean to use transportation to build civic space?” Discussion featuring Jascha Franklin-Hodge, Boston’s Chief Information Officer; Lori Lobenstine, from the Design Studio for Social Intervention; and Aziza Robinson-Goodnight, Artist in Transit for the Fairmount Cultural Corridor. Sponsored by Future Boston AllianceONEin3 and YPT. Participants are invited to gather afterwards at The Good Life, 28 Kingston Street, for drinks and further conversation. 

Saturday, May 9

  • 10:00 AM – Doors open

  • 12:00 to 4:00 PM – Free basic bike maintenance lessons by the Boston Cyclists Union

Ongoing activities on both days

  • Interactive activities to share your vision of getting around Boston in the future

  • Showcase of emerging transportation technology
