YPT Boston Brown Bag Lunch - Green Line Extension

Come hear from your peers working on the Green Line Extension project at YPT Boston's next brownbag lunch session! The Green Line Extension is a multi-year, multi-municipality project that will extend service from a relocated Lechmere Station to Union Square in Somerville and College Avenue in Medford. Jay Carroll from HDR and Mike Izzo from Gilbane will give an overview of the project and discuss their management, engineering, and planning roles on the biggest infrastructure project in the Commonwealth since the Big Dig.

WalkBoston Focus Group

WalkBoston is looking for volunteers ages 25-35 to participate in a focus group from 6:00-8:30 PM on November 27, 2012. Volunteers should be interested in walkability, and ideally have participated in at least one WalkBoston event. The focus group will be held at WalkBoston’s downtown office, with dinner to be served. Please come help us learn how to better talk about walkability, as well as meet people who share your commitment to making Massachusetts more walkable!

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation is holding a series of statewide public meetings, engaging with residents, community leaders and business owners to discuss the future of transportation in the Commonwealth.

Legislation passed in August requires the Department to host at least six public meetings in advance of developing a long-term financing plan for the state’s transportation system next year. To ensure that all regions of the Commonwealth are represented, MassDOT will hold 15 meetings.

South Station Expansion Project Open House

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is leading an effort to improve and expand Boston South Station for the future, and we want to invite your participation and hear your ideas. We are planning a variety of opportunities for you to meet us and provide your input, beginning with two project open houses to be held just a short walk from South Station. The information to be provided by MassDOT at the two open houses will be the same, and we hope that you will find it convenient to attend one or both of them.
