Safe Routes to School

WalkBoston has worked to successfully to develop lasting Safe Routes to School (SRTS) programs that increase walking and engage students, teachers, parents and community members. Starting in 2012, WalkBoston embarked upon a multi-year SRTS effort in three Massachusetts cities to implement SRTS programs that benefit student health and benefit the environment with the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs) over time.
