Ever complained about overflowing trash bins, broken sidewalks, potholes? There’s an app for that!

Join us for a panel discussion with representatives from three organizations that help citizens report
issues in the built environment to the appropriate authorities. They’ll talk about the technologies they
have developed and the ways that smart phones are changing how citizens interact with governments.

• See Click Fix – a New Haven based start-up that works with municipalities large and small and
community organizations to collect reports from citizens.

• The Mayor’s Office of New Urban Mechanics, Boston – this unique branch of the city
government is tasked with developing innovative ways of engaging constituents.

• Talk to the T – the MBTA launched their Talk to the T campaign and app over the summer to
facilitate reporting on MBTA property.

This event is hosted by the Department of Urban Studies and Planning, organized by WalkBoston, and
co-sponsored by the Institute for Human Centered Design and Liveable Streets Alliance.
