Come explore this question and uncover opportunities at a Workshop and Walk Audit of the Ashmont/Peabody Square Area!
When: Wednesday, April 16, 5:30-7:30PM Where: Meet at St. Mark’s Area Main Street (SMAMS) Office, 1914 Dorchester Avenue,
Carruth Building ground floor. Located across from the Ashmont MBTA Station
The Ashmont area is a busy, vibrant neighborhood with a high level of pedestrian activity. It is also a heavily trafficked area with cars, buses, and trucks. This workshop and walk audit will help community members analyze the walking environment and develop ways to make the area safer and more inviting for pedestrians of all ages.
All ages welcome. Snacks provided.

Workshop: Presentation and discussion of what makes a good pedestrian environment.
Walk Audit: Group walk to observe and discuss local walking conditions.
Review: Wrap up at our meeting place to review the walk and develop recommendations for improvements.
Follow-up: WalkBoston will prepare a memo presenting the recommendations and an implementation strategy.
