Presentation on Urban Design Strategies for Union Square
Thursday, August 15, 2013
6 pm
Union Square Main Streets, 66-70 Union Square

All are invited to attend this presentation by Tim Czerwienski and Adrienne Mathews. These students from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design are summer fellows who have worked with Union Square Main Streets for 10 weeks to look at design strategies to foster a transit-oriented neighborhood for Union Square as the new Greenline station launches here.

Tim Czerwienski ahas been focused on parking strategies, particularly shared parking initiatives for Somerville and Union Square.

Adrienne Mathews has been looking at ways to foster multi-modal connections between the future Greenline station and Union Square’s central business district with special attention to the needs of pedestrians.  She’s also been looking at possible improvements for Sanborn Court.

Both Tim and Adrienne have been sharing pieces of their findings on the USMS blog.
